To explain the concept
of force 2 activities were demonstrated.
1) Rubber band toy: A rubber
band toy was made using plastic bottle and rubber band; the students understood
that the force from rubber band ejects the ball upwards. More the force applied
to the rubber band the ball reaches more height.
2) Force of friction:
To explain the concept of frictional force exerted by various surfaces an
activity was demonstrated. The students understood that the car slides faster
on a tin sheet and slower on a cloth. The students concluded that cloth exerts
more friction.
