Overnight Camp – Rustomjee Virar – 19th to 20th December, 2015

The celebration of the science day “Reverbrations” continued with the students participating in an overnight trip filled with exciting activities held in Virar school. The first stop of the trip was a musical fountain show (laser show) held in yazoo park wherein the fountain danced to the beats of peppy music which was projected with the help of laser beam. The next activity was a treasure hunt wherein the students were given puzzles and certain clues to be solved in a stipulated period of time. The main attraction of the night was a “sky gazing” session organized by brahmand darshan where the students got a chance to view Moon, Venus, Jupiter , Nebula and Constellations through the telescopes. This activity evoked a new vigor in students towards astronomy. The last stop of the trip was the various scientific demonstrations by teachers- making a helicopter through paper cups, story-telling through shadows using the concept of air, a car driven by balloon showing the impact of air pressure in the movement of vehicles, etc.
