Grade 1 to 6 – British Council Workshop – 23rd December, 2015

Workshop-Organized by British Council on Story Telling-"Animals in the Jungle”. It was done through poetry, action games and animal cut -outs.


Nursery to Grade 6 - Christmas Party Celebration – 23rd December, 2015

Hoo hoo hoo !!! Santa is here to brighten up your Christmas time of this year. With much enthusiasm and excitement we started off the Christmas party celebration with various games such as passing the ball and 4 corners. We had Santa to distribute sweets to the kids; the kids were very happy and played around with Santa. After so much of activity it was time to have snacks and goodies. We also had a choir group coming from the church to sing carols and Christmas songs.

The kids took with them beautiful memories and the spirit to celebrate Christmas and they went jingling home.

Overnight Camp – Rustomjee Virar – 19th to 20th December, 2015

The celebration of the science day “Reverbrations” continued with the students participating in an overnight trip filled with exciting activities held in Virar school. The first stop of the trip was a musical fountain show (laser show) held in yazoo park wherein the fountain danced to the beats of peppy music which was projected with the help of laser beam. The next activity was a treasure hunt wherein the students were given puzzles and certain clues to be solved in a stipulated period of time. The main attraction of the night was a “sky gazing” session organized by brahmand darshan where the students got a chance to view Moon, Venus, Jupiter , Nebula and Constellations through the telescopes. This activity evoked a new vigor in students towards astronomy. The last stop of the trip was the various scientific demonstrations by teachers- making a helicopter through paper cups, story-telling through shadows using the concept of air, a car driven by balloon showing the impact of air pressure in the movement of vehicles, etc.



Reverberation – Sr.Kg to Grade 6 – 19th December, 2015

Sr. kg:
 Sr.Kg reverberation stated with Life cycle of Butterfly, Life cycle of Frog, Water Cycle, Games- I am Lost and Who am I? Activity – I Wish (Butterfly wish for parents) Parents and family members enjoyed a lot and they participated actively and we received a good response. 

Grade 1:
The students presented and demonstrated various topics with great zeal and excitement. The different projects were properties of air, ground water, purification of water and occurrence of day and night.

Grade 2:
The different group of students worked on 3 different projects.
Project 1- windmill model
Project 2- Static electricity
Project 3-Soil erosion
Counter for sale of medicinal plants.
Students enjoyed the entire activity which was hands on learning. 

Grade 3:
The students worked on two projects. One was how to make a rainbow and the other one was light travels in a straight line. The students demonstrated and explained to the parents how an indoor rainbow can be formed. The students also explained the concept of light and demonstrated how light travels in a straight line. The science project was informative and students enjoyed it.

Grade 4:
Students demonstrated 2 projects:
1) Rubber band car and Catapult
2) Cochin International Airport model
The students explained the concept of how the rubber band car and catapult works. They explained the concept of kinetic energy and how the object moves from one place to another. The students also explained the benefits of using Solar Energy. The students worked hard in making the entire project with the guidance of teacher. The also played catapult games with parents.

Grade 5 and 6:
Interesting and innovative topics were demonstrated and presented by grade 5 and 6 students. The students of grade 5 demonstrated lemon battery, travelling water, potato battery and electricity from candles. The students of grade 6 demonstrated light bulbs from lead, solar battery charger and a smart school with a built in sensor. The parents appreciated the efforts taken up by the students.






Nursery, Jr. Kg and Sr.Kg – Dramatization – Self Help is the Best Help – 16th December, 2015

Teachers demonstrated through dramatization, how we help ourselves by doing small things without any help.

Grade 6 – Biology – Starch Test – 11th December, 2015

The students performed a starch test to detect the presence of starch (carbohydrates) in various food samples - carrot, potato, apple, raw rice and cooked rice. Depending on the intensity of the colour produced, they found out that the cooked rice contained the highest amount of starch.

Grade 3 - The Solar System and Stars - 8th December, 2015

The students prepared a head gear by arranging the pictures of planets in a sequence. By doing this, they learnt the proper sequence of planets. The students enjoyed learning with fun in this activity.

Nursery - my favorite sports -11th December, 2015

Kids got cut outs and objects of their favorite sports like football, cricket bat and ball etc and spoke about it and also how they enjoy playing their sport with their parents and who is their favorite sports person.


Nursery – Orange week - 7th December to 11th December, 2015

Day1- Children were dressed in orange colour clothes. They sang a rhyme on the colour orange.
Day2-Children brought orange coloured toy to school and they enjoyed sharing the toys and playing together.
Day3- Children brought orange coloured food item in their tiffin box and spoke about what they got in their tiffin.
Day4- Spray painting was done on an orange fruit cut out; it was a Group activity so all kids actively participated in it.

Day5- A cut out of carrot take away was given to all the children. 






Jr.kg and Sr.kg – Orange Day – 7th December, 2015

Children came dressed in orange clothes and different object were shown to kids to identify the orange colour. Teachers made charts and also shared information about everything related to colour orange like-orange carrot,orange fruit, orange water bottle. kids enjoyed this day playing with orange objects.
